Sourcing safety & security equipment from Türkiye
Turkish manufacturers produce across this category: certified personal protective equipment, portable extinguishers and hose reel cabinets, IP cameras with recorders, card and fingerprint access control, road safety materials and pest control machines. Browse export-ready products, compare verified suppliers and ask for the EN test report together with a CFR quote to your port.
Sourcing safety equipment from Türkiye: a buyer's guide
Read the marking, then the price
The marking on the product tells you what it survives. On footwear, S1 covers a dry indoor floor while S3 adds a penetration-resistant midsole and water resistance for muddy sites. On gloves, the EN 388 digits rank abrasion, cut, tear and puncture in that order. High visibility clothing runs from class 1 to class 3 by reflective area, and roadside crews need class 3.
The certificate behind the CE logo
Ask the supplier for the declaration of conformity and, for category III items, the EU type-examination certificate with the notified body number. Check that the certificate names the exact model and size range you are buying and that it is still valid. Keep the copies for customs and for your own insurance or tender file.
Firefighting: plan the second year
An extinguisher costs you again at the first refill. Confirm the powder grade, the valve thread and the gauge type against what your local service company can source, and order spare brackets and gauges in the same container. For hose reel cabinets, check the coupling standard used in your country and ask whether the cabinet ships knocked down.
Buy CCTV as a system
Order camera, recorder, disk, switch and cable together, and ask for ONVIF support if you are adding to an existing recorder. Check the IP66 rating and the infrared range against the poles you will mount on, and size the disk from the channel count and the recording days you need. Ask for the configuration guide in your working language.
Sample set, then the container
Start with a paid sample set so your safety officer can check fit and finish, then place the container order. Prices run per unit in USD, CFR to your port. Mixed loads work well because light helmets and vests balance heavy extinguishers. Ask for the packing list with HS codes before shipment, and expect a first order to settle by L/C at sight or advance TT.
Frequently asked questions
Ask for the declaration of conformity and, for category III items, the EU type-examination certificate, then match the model name and the notified body number on the certificate against the product label. The most common gap in this category is a certificate covering a different model or an expired period.
