How are dangerous goods shipped?

Dangerous goods carry a UN number and IMDG class that dictate UN-approved packaging, labelling and freight booking. Confirm the hazard class with the supplier so shipping is arranged correctly and clears customs without delay.

What packaging options are available?

Drums (200L), IBCs (1000L), lined bags or bulk, depending on the product and volume. State the option you need in your request so offers are comparable, and confirm shelf life for sensitive grades.

Grade, purity & documents

When you request a quote, give the grade (industrial, technical, food, cosmetic), purity/assay and CAS number, and ask for the technical datasheet plus a batch certificate of analysis (COA). In chemicals, the documentation is as important as the price.

Safety & transport class

Ask for the safety data sheet (SDS/MSDS) and, for dangerous goods, the UN number and IMDG class, which set packing, labelling and freight. Knowing the hazard class lets you book compliant shipping and avoid a hold at customs.

Packaging & pricing

Chemicals ship in drums, IBCs, bags or bulk, priced per kg or per tonne in USD, CFR to your port. Specify the packaging option you need, ask for minimum order and shelf life, and expect a short price validity as feedstock and FX move.

Verified suppliers

Tafric lists verified Turkish suppliers, so you source from checked producers and distributors rather than unknown traders. Compare offers, confirm COA and SDS, and move to a first order with L/C or CAD payment protection.
