Perfume sellers in Nigeria and French-speaking West Africa search Google for 'perfume manufacturers in Turkey', 'famous Turkish perfumes' and 'perfume oil business in Nigeria'. This guide is for shop owners and resellers who want to buy perfume, perfume oils and body sprays directly from Turkish manufacturers.
Short answer
Turkish manufacturers supply eau de parfum in 50, 100 and 200 ml, perfume oils, deodorants and body sprays, home fragrance, and raw fragrance oils and bottles for local filling. Many offer private label with your own brand. Avoid counterfeits that carry famous brand names, check cosmetic registration in your country, and plan shipping early: alcohol-based perfume travels as dangerous goods.
Turkey or Dubai?
Dubai is a major perfume trading hub, especially for oud and Arabian-style oils. Turkey's strength is manufacturing: factories that blend the scent, fill and label it, and can produce under your brand. Turkish perfume is also known by its own brands, and some are searched by name in Nigeria and French-speaking West Africa. Compare the same volume, concentration and packaging, not just the price per bottle.
What you can buy
| Product | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Eau de parfum | Volume (50, 100, 200 ml), concentration, bottle and box |
| Perfume oil / fragrance oil | Concentrated or ready to use, roll-on or bulk |
| Deodorant, body spray | Size, aerosol or pump, scents per carton |
| Home fragrance | Room spray, diffuser, refills |
| Oils and bottles for filling | Oil volume per scent, bottle type and cap |
If you plan a perfume oil business, ask for fragrance oils with their safety data sheet and matching bottles from the same supplier; it simplifies shipping and quality control.
Inspired scents, not counterfeits
Some buyers ask for 'dupes' named after famous brands. Products that carry another brand's name, logo or bottle design are counterfeits: customs can seize them and you take the legal risk. The safe option is an inspired scent sold under the manufacturer's brand or your own private label, without using any other brand's name. Do not name the brand anywhere, including product names, price lists and ads ('inspired by X'); in many countries that alone is infringement. The scent itself is generally not protected.
What drives the price
Price depends on the concentration and quality of the fragrance oil, the bottle (glass, cap, decoration), the box and printing, the volume and the quantity per scent. Ask every supplier for the same breakdown: price per piece by volume, minimum per scent, carton quantity, private-label cost and the price to your port (CFR).
How to import perfume from Turkey, step by step
1) Check whether your country requires cosmetic registration (for example NAFDAC in Nigeria, the FDA in Ghana, or the health or pharmaceutical authority in Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Cameroon); it usually goes through the importer. 2) Post a request with the products, volumes, scents and quantities. 3) Ask for a scent sample kit before ordering. 4) Agree labels: ingredient list (INCI), batch number, expiry date and the language of your market. 5) Agree payment terms in writing. 6) Ship with a forwarder who handles dangerous goods.
Shipping and customs
Alcohol-based perfume is classed as a flammable liquid (UN1266, class 3). It ships by sea with a dangerous-goods declaration and suitable packaging. Air freight is possible as declared dangerous goods under IATA rules, at extra cost; postal services and couriers without a dangerous-goods contract refuse it. Alcohol-free perfume oils can travel as normal cargo only if their safety data sheet shows they are not flammable or environmentally hazardous; the SDS and your forwarder decide. Sea transit takes roughly 9-14 days to Dakar or Abidjan and 16-20 days to Lagos. See our guides on pre-shipment inspection and importing from Türkiye to Nigeria.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy perfume wholesale from Turkey?
Yes. Turkish manufacturers sell eau de parfum, perfume oils, deodorants and body sprays wholesale, and many produce under your own brand. Post your products, volumes and quantities on Tafric and suppliers contact you directly.
Are Turkish perfumes good quality?
Quality depends on the fragrance oil concentration and the manufacturer, as anywhere. Ask for a sample kit and the concentration, and compare suppliers on the same volume and packaging.
Can I sell perfumes inspired by famous brands?
Generally yes, under the manufacturer's brand or your own, as long as you never use another brand's name, logo or bottle design, including in price lists and ads ('inspired by X'). Products carrying a famous brand's name are counterfeits and can be seized.
How is perfume shipped from Turkey to Africa?
