Plastic & rubber buying requests from Africa: pipe, granules, profiles
African importers open requests for PE and PVC pipe, polymer granules, profiles and fittings, sheet and foam board, plus rubber products and hoses. This page collects verified buying requests and shows Turkish exporters what the buyer actually checks: resin grade and melt flow index, pipe standard and pressure class, UV protection, MOQ and CFR delivery to the destination port.

Exporting plastics & rubber to Africa: what buyers expect
Resin grade, MFI and data sheet
A granule request rarely stops at the letters HDPE, LDPE, PP, PVC or PET. Buyers compare melt flow index, density and the intended process (blow moulding, injection, film extrusion), so attach the technical data sheet next to your price. State clearly whether the material is virgin or reprocessed, and give the filler ratio if the compound carries one.
Pipe standards and pressure class
Pipe requests turn on the standard. For water networks buyers name PE100 with an SDR value (SDR11 or SDR17) under EN 12201, or PVC-U pressure pipe with a PN class. Quote the exact grade, wall thickness and length per bar or coil, and say whether butt fusion or electrofusion fittings ship with the lot.
UV package for open-air use
Much of what ships to Africa sits in the sun: pipe stored on site, tanks, sheet and profile on a facade. Black PE carrying roughly 2 to 2.5% carbon black holds its properties outdoors far longer than an unstabilised compound. State the UV package in your offer, and for white or coloured goods give the stabiliser used and the outdoor life you can support.
Rubber hose: pressure, bore, temperature
For rubber hose and technical rubber the buyer is matching an application, so give working pressure, burst pressure, inner bore and temperature range, and name the fluid the lining must handle (water, fuel, steam, food contact). Where the item touches food or drinking water, add a declaration of compliance with the migration test report.
Pricing, loading and payment
Granules are priced per tonne against a moving commodity and FX curve, so give a validity window with the price. Pipe and profile fill a container by volume long before they reach the weight limit, so a 40' high cube absorbs bulky lots while a 20' suits dense goods. Quote MOQ, CFR to the destination port, and whether you work with an L/C or advance TT.
