Husbandry buying requests from Africa: poultry, feed, dairy & aquaculture
African buyers open requests for poultry house equipment and incubators, feed mill lines, milking and slaughtering installations, veterinary products, beekeeping and aquaculture gear. This page collects verified buying requests and shows Turkish exporters what each project actually needs: bird capacity, tonnes per hour, vacuum level, local voltage and frequency, ventilation for hot climates, and CFR delivery to the destination port.
Exporting husbandry equipment to Africa: what buyers expect
Read the project size before quoting
A poultry request is defined by bird capacity and housing type, so ask whether the buyer wants a cage system or floor rearing, how many birds per house, and whether the feeding and drinking lines should be automatic. For a feed mill, the number that governs everything is capacity in tonnes per hour, followed by pellet diameter and the raw materials available locally.
Design for heat, dust and unstable power
Equipment sized for a temperate barn underperforms in a Sahelian summer. Quote tunnel ventilation with pad cooling where the site justifies it, state the fan airflow your layout is based on, and confirm the local voltage and frequency. Where mains supply is intermittent, price a generator interface or a backup drive for the feeding line.
Documents that decide the deal
Veterinary medicines and vaccines need registration in the importing country before they clear customs, and the cold chain has to be described in the offer, from the insulated box to the temperature logger. Live animals and animal products require a veterinary health certificate issued by the official authority. Ask which documents the buyer's authority accepts before you promise a shipping date.
Installation, training and parts
A milking parlour or a slaughtering line is sold as a project. Say how many milking units you supply and what vacuum level the pump holds, or how the slaughter line is arranged for halal practice and washdown hygiene. Then price supervision of the installation and operator training on site, with a spare parts kit covering the first year of running.
Pricing, loading and payment
Quote per unit or per complete line in USD, CFR to the named port, and show the container plan, since galvanised cages and silo panels take volume and the loading list moves the freight cost. Give a validity window for the price, state the lead time as production plus sailing, and set out the payment structure under an L/C or a TT advance against the balance.
Frequently asked questions
A poultry equipment offer should state bird capacity, the cage or floor system, the feeding and drinking line specification, the ventilation and cooling design, and the voltage and frequency. Add the container loading plan, the installation supervision terms and the spare parts kit, then price CFR to the buyer's port.
