Important requirement for supplier quotations For your Endless Path Logistics and Agency sourcing, I would recommend asking suppliers to provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each sugar grade, showing at minimum: 1. ICUMSA/colour 2. Polarization 3. Moisture 4. Ash 5. Reducing sugars 6. Crystal size 7. Sulphur dioxide, if applicable 8. Heavy metals 9. Microbiological parameters 10. Crop/production year 11. Country of origin 12. Production date and shelf life For ICUMSA 45, the supplier should specifically confirm that the product offered is ICUMSA 45 or lower, rather than simply describing it as "refined white sugar." Shelf-Life Requirement Product Packaging Required Shelf Life Refined White Sugar – ICUMSA 45 25 kg Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Refined White Sugar – ICUMSA 45 50 kg Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Refined White Sugar – ICUMSA 45 50 kg (10 × 5 kg) Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Raw Brown Sugar 25 kg Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Raw Brown Sugar 50 kg Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Raw Brown Sugar 50 kg (10 × 5 kg) Minimum 18 months, preferably up to 24 months Mandatory Shelf-Life Specification Shelf Life: The sugar products must have a shelf life of not less than 18 months (1.5 years) and preferably up to 24 months (2 years) from the date of manufacture, provided they are stored under the manufacturer's recommended storage conditions. The remaining shelf life at the time of shipment should be clearly stated by the supplier and should be sufficient for importation, customs clearance, warehousing, distribution and retail sale. Supplier Confirmation Required The supplier should confirm: Date of manufacture Best-before/expiry date Total shelf life: 18–24 months Minimum remaining shelf life at shipment Recommended storage conditions Packaging suitability for the stated shelf life Batch/Lot number Certificate of Analysis (COA) Recommended purchasing condition: For international shipments, request that the sugar have at least 18 months remaining shelf life upon arrival at Zanzibar Port, unless otherwise agreed in writing. This is particularly important for the 5 kg retail-lot packaging, because the product will pass through warehousing and distribution before reaching consumers.
In your offer, clearly state the unit price (based on CIF), delivery time and payment terms. TDS, certificates and reference projects speed up evaluation.
