The company was founded in 1981 in Manisa under the name Şehzade Kuruyemiş. Beginning as a small business, it quickly made a name for itself in the production and sale of nuts and dried fruits. Thanks to its quality products and consistent sales approach, it became the most loved and sought-after brand in Manisa. In 1993, its second branch opened opposite Manisa’s famous Beyazfil building. In 2001, the company opened its fourth retail store. In the following years, it focused on producing Mesir paste, the symbol of Manisa, with the most authentic formula and the finest taste. After long and demanding work, in 2007 it introduced its first product made with the Mesir paste formula, “Mesir Delight” (Mesir lokumu), followed by “Mesir Candy” and the widely acclaimed “Mesir Tea.” Later, a small single-serving jar and a classic large jar of Mesir paste were launched on the market. Using the registered trademark “Maccun” for its Mesir paste products, the company plans to expand its range, taking into account product variety and consumer demand. Maccun products have become a favorite of young and old alike, thanks to their ease of consumption and their light, distinctively invigorating flavor.
